Car City Cares Supports Kids’ Food Basket

Car City Cares, Car City’s giving program, volunteered and supported the Kids’ Food Basket program last week by creating nutritious sack suppers for Grand Rapids, MI area children. The nonprofit organization started over a decade ago and now serves nearly 7,500 kids each weekday with a well-rounded meal to aid in development of children’s’ brains and bodies.

“We feel so fortunate to have the people power to put behind creating these lunches for children in the area,” says Brandon Baker, Manager at Car City. “1 in 5 Michigan kids are affected by hunger and lack of nutrition. Car City Cares is proud to make even a small dent in helping those kids get what they need.”
Several staff members at the Car City Wyoming location helped prepare the lunches last week.
